REN-ISAC serves the higher education and research networking community with over 400 active members who participate in information sharing on risk management, cyber-threats, and cybersecurity. REN-ISAC’s Security Event System is used across the community to track and aggregate threat intelligence information into network-based security tools such as firewalls, IPS and IDS, allowing member representatives to make informed decisions about threats and events at their institutions. REN-ISAC also facilitates cybersecurity professional training and development through a monthly webcast and providing an aggregate purchasing program with the SANS Institute.
