ISAO SO Announces 2019 Information Sharing Hall of Fame Award Winners

The ISAO Standards Organization (ISAO SO) has announced the winners of the Third Annual Information Sharing Hall of Fame Awards.

The ISAO SO recognized the National Council of Registered ISACs (NCI) in the Organizational category and Bonnie Moss, executive director of the SMB ISAO, in the Indivudal category by inducting them into the Information Sharing Hall of Fame.

“Having a strong commitment to advancing information sharing is a vital aspect of improving the Nation’s cybersecurity posture,” said Dr. Greg White, executive director of the ISAO Standards Organization. “These awards recognize those individuals and organizations who have demonstrated the highest standards of professional competence and selflessness and have contributed significantly to the promotion of information sharing.”

Moss was honored with the Hall of Fame Award for being identified as a notable leader and visionary based upon her leadership in advancing, growing and shaping the information sharing community. She was nominated, in part, for her positive attitude and continuous efforts to actively engage the information sharing community, and hard work in improving the cybersecurity posture of small- and mid-sized businesses across the nation through effective information sharing and analysis related to cybersecurity risks, incidents and best practices.

“Bonnie has been a strong supporter of both the ISAO SO as well as information sharing in general,” said Dr. Greg White, executive director of the ISAO SO. “Her efforts have aided immeasurably in helping to establish and grow the information sharing ecosystem.”

The National Council of ISACs (NCI) was recognized as an award winner for their efforts to collaborate and coordinate with ISAOs in the private sector with critical infrastructure and government.

“We are honored to recognize the NCI for their long history of helping to build the information sharing ecosystem. They have set the stage and they provide examples for others hoping to become part of the information sharing movement,” added White.

The Information Hall of Fame Awards ceremony was held on Thursday, August 22 at the 2019 International Information Sharing Conference in San Antonio, Texas. Award winners are nominated by their peers in the information sharing ecosystem to be considered for an award.
