Josef Klein has been with the ISAO SO team since the beginning, and was instrumental in the publication of the first four initial voluntary guidelines. In his first role with the SO, he acted as a working group advisor for working group 1 ISAO Creation, working group 2 ISAO Capabilities, and working group 6 Government Relations. He now works exclusively with the support team, continuing to build strong relationships with both new and established ISAOs.
Klein had ten years of administrative experience in various industries, including real estate, accounting, and engineering, before transitioning to cybersecurity training and educational game development at the Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS) at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in 2014. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UTSA.
When asked what excites him most about working with the ISAO SO, Klein remarked, “Witnessing and supporting the growth of an information sharing ecosystem dedicated to reducing cybersecurity risks for communities.”
He is recently married, and lives with his bride in San Antonio, TX.
